Multidisciplinary coverage
The system has various safety question banks, covering laboratory safety knowledge in multiple disciplines such as chemistry, physics, and biology. In terms of chemical safety, it includes detailed content such as the classification, storage, labeling, use, and emergency response of hazardous chemicals; the physical safety part involves knowledge such as the operating specifications of various instruments and equipment, electrical safety, and radiation protection; biological safety includes related topics such as biological sample processing, biohazard protection, and genetically modified biological operation safety. This comprehensive subject coverage ensures that the safety needs of different types of laboratories can be met.
Hierarchical title setting
In order to adapt to the different safety knowledge needs of different personnel, the questions in the question bank are set according to different levels. For junior personnel entering the laboratory, such as undergraduate junior students or newly hired laboratory assistants, the system provides basic safety knowledge questions, mainly focusing on basic laboratory safety rules, identification of common safety signs, etc.; while for experienced scientific researchers or senior laboratory technicians, the questions focus more on safety risk assessment in complex experimental operations, safety management of special instruments and equipment, and comprehensive response measures in emergency situations, etc., so as to achieve accurate assessment of personnel with different knowledge levels and experience.
Personalized Learning Plan
The system customizes a personalized learning plan for each user based on the user's role (such as student, teacher, researcher, laboratory manager, etc.), the type of laboratory (chemical laboratory, physical laboratory, biological laboratory, etc.), and past safety knowledge. For example, students in a biological laboratory may be assigned more learning content on biosafety protection and biological waste disposal; while researchers in a physical laboratory will focus on learning about electrical safety and radiation protection of instruments and equipment. This personalized learning plan can improve learning efficiency and make the learning content more in line with actual work needs.
Various examination formats
The examination module provides a variety of assessment methods to meet the management needs of different laboratories. In addition to common online single-choice questions, multiple-choice questions, judgment questions and other question types, short-answer questions and case analysis questions can also be set according to the special requirements of the laboratory. For example, for chemical laboratories that often conduct complex chemical reaction experiments, case analysis questions can simulate real experimental scenarios, requiring candidates to analyze the safety hazards and propose solutions, thereby more deeply examining candidates' understanding and application of safety knowledge. At the same time, the system supports random test papers and timed test functions to ensure the fairness and seriousness of the examination.
Merit-Based Admission Decisions
The Nofeil system determines whether a person is qualified to enter the laboratory based on the test scores. Managers can set different passing scores based on the laboratory's risk level and safety requirements. Only when the candidate's score reaches or exceeds the passing score will the system grant him/her access to the laboratory. This score-based access mechanism can effectively screen out personnel with sufficient safety knowledge and ensure the safety quality of laboratory personnel.
Dynamic access updates
Considering the continuous updating of laboratory safety knowledge and the continuous learning needs of personnel in laboratory work, the system adopts a dynamic access update mechanism. Once there are new safety regulations, technical standards or new laboratory experiments, the system will promptly update the safety question bank and learning content, and require relevant personnel to re-learn and take the exam to ensure that they always master the latest safety knowledge and maintain their access qualifications.
Study and exam data tracking
The system can comprehensively track and compile statistics on users’ learning data and test results, including learning time, learning progress, mastery of each knowledge point, test score distribution, pass rate, etc. These data are presented to laboratory managers in the form of intuitive charts (such as bar charts, line charts, etc.), so that they can clearly understand the safety knowledge learning and mastery status of each person and the entire laboratory team.
Safety management decision support
Through in-depth analysis of large amounts of data, the system provides strong support for laboratory safety management decisions. For example, if a certain type of question (such as emergency response to hazardous chemicals) has a high error rate, managers can strengthen safety education in this area; if a specific group (such as new employees) has a low pass rate, they may need to adjust their study plans or strengthen pre-employment safety training.
